About the San Diego County, California Area  Carlsbad/Lacosta Information
Carlsbad is a city of four neighborhoods. To the north West, on the Pacific is "Old Carlsbad and expanded to the East by new subdivisions. Downtown Carlsbad has Restaurants, Shops, Sidewalk Dining, Cafes, a few night clubs. A State Park runs along much of the shoreline in South Carlsbad, with access to some of Southern California’s best beaches. Carlsbad also has Buena Vista Lagoon to the North side of Downtown and Agua Hedionda Lagoon to the South. Many of the homes have ocean views and in the middle of Carlsbad, is the airport, on Palomar Airport road where you can also view the "Flower Fields' in early spring. Carlsbad is a golfer’s delight with great courses like, Aviara Four Seasons Resort and La Costa County Club with Golf and Tennis. Let's not forget Lego Land and when the kids are back to school, Carlsbad has some of the best schools and highest academic rankings in the state. Carlsbad has a mall to the north off the (78) Freeway and El Camino Real. Price for Older Model Detached Homes with two or three bedrooms start around $600,000 and Condos start in the low $300's to $2 million and up. Custom luxury homes are also available as well as estate, oceanfront, panoramic ocean view homes, golf course luxury homes, from $1million and up. Carlsbad also offers rail service with the Amtrak station nearby and is a 30-35 minute drive to Downtown San Diego.

 Fallbrook Information
Fallbrook located about only twenty minutes from the coastline of Oceanside and (5) freeway, calls itself "The Avocado Capital of The World" they have a festival that draws about 70,000 people each year. The land is rippled with hills, mesas, ravines and valleys. Some of the soil is so rich it looks like Hawaii’s "red' soil. Even though only less than thirty minutes to beautiful beaches, traffic conditions permitting down the (76), Fallbrook has huge lot sizes and many custom homes, with two golf courses and pricing you would never be able to attain right at the beach. Many Equestrian properties, Estates, to charming older and newer middle class, to upscale areas. Fallbrook also has a "downtown" area with a funky type of charm which supports the arts and is very quaint. Looking at homes in Fallbrook, each area has a uniqueness and there is a home that I always say, picks you - it speaks to you and you know that is the one, especially with this area. Fallbrook has the biggest selection of "custom" homes near the coast, for least amount of money and the most amount of land for your dollar, between LA and San Diego Counties. Fallbrook schools are highly recognized also. It is between the (5) and (15) freeways off the (76).

 Del Mar Information
Del Mar is located between Solana Beach to the North and La Jolla to the South along Coast Highway Route (101) in North County San Diego.
Home of Del Mar Fairgrounds and the Del Mar Race Track which runs the thoroughbreds from late July to early September. Visitors from around the world attend the races originally founded by Bing Crosby. Del Mar offers gorgeous beaches year round, dining, shopping with a refined and eloquent village atmosphere. Some area resemble Carmel up in Northern California, with Pines trees sweeping along the coastal vistas of Del Mar. Torrey Pines State Reserve is just a few minutes North and includes the Torrey Pines Golf Course home to the PGA Championships. Del Mar offers beach condos to luxury ocean view and oceanfront estates. Prices range from $700,000 to $20,000,000 with a median home price of about $2,300,000.
Del Mar Schools include Torrey Pines High School which is top 100 in the nation.

 Encinitas Information
Encinitas is located just South of Carlsbad and starts at the Leucadia area of Encinitas which has a Bohemian feel of old Encinitas with world class surfing beaches along it's oceanfront bluffs. Encinitas is also home to many flower nurseries and gardens. Leucadia area just bewteen Pacific Coast Highway (101) and the (5) freeway use to be avocado groves years ago, which were later subdivided to large parcel ocean view lots. Encinitas was founded in 1881 and was not incorporated until 1986.
The other communities of Encinitas include, Olivenhain which means "olive grove" in German, has an open feel, which is an extension of Rancho Santa Fe to it's South border and large equestrian type lots and estate homes. To the central area of Encinitas PCH (101) is "Downtown Encinitas" which has cafes, shops, just a small town feel and walking distance to the beach and train stop. Moonlight Beach is a beautiful sandy beach, which is a focus to the downtown area. Encinitas is abated to the South with Cardiff By The Sea.
Another landmark for surfers is the infamous "Swamis" surf spot, next to the Self Realization Fellowship Temple Grounds, which has beautiful gardens available for public viewing most days until 5P.M. overlooking the oceanfront.
The schools are San Dieguito School District which include La Costa Canyon High School and San Dieguito High School. Oceanfront homes start around $3,000,000 and oceanfront or ocean close condos start around $900,000.
